Brought up in England. At University I studied Psychology and then trained to become a Teacher.  Started a serious study of the Western Hermetic Tradition in my late teens. My first systematic spiritual pursuit was through the works of Dr John Dee with initially a strong Golden Dawn bias.  My work with Franz Bardon’s training at that time was only piecemeal.

In 2007 on an extended stay in Egypt, my late wife and I rented a flat in Giza City and performed work directly based on what is outlined in Dee’s Heptarchia Mystica. In the 5th week of 5 practices a day, the selected Angel appeared visibly in the shewstone and continued to do so on all occasions thereafter. This was a pivotal moment, and although I spoke directly with the Angel it was more of a feeling that I had reached a limitation, a glass ceiling in my Spiritual progress. I ceased the Heptarchia Mystica operation and felt compelled to commence from the very beginning of Franz Bardon’s Initiation Into Hermetics. By May 2009 I had progressed to step 9 of Bardon’s Initiation into Hermetics. Between 2009 and 2023 I have become fully proficient with the evocation methods Bardon outlines in Practice of Magical Evocation.

In the summer of 2023, I finally completed (with help from Ray de Sol) the single-letter key of Bardon’s The Key to The True Quabbalah. This is the key requisite for expressing the 2, 3 & 4  letter quabbalistic formula that Bardon goes on to describe in The Key To The True Quabbalah.  Doubtless, all the decades of previous work I had done in the Western Hermetic tradition enabled me to progress well. However, with hindsight, I can see that if I had made Bardon’s training my priority much earlier on, my spiritual journey over the decades would have been more parsimonious.

It was the prompting of the Enochian Angels back in Giza city in 2007 to do Bardon’s training that led me to eventually write Enochian Hermetics. In my view, the Enochian language and magical system provides a quabbalistic formula specifically for the terrestrial sphere. Integrating the universal quabbalistic praxis Bardon gives in his third book to Enochian provides a powerful and sublime synergy.  

My work with practical lab Alchemy I openly share, firstly to show the benefits of Spagyrics and how relatively easy it is to make the plant stone(this is NOT the philosophers stone). Secondly, to show how products obtained from mineral Alchemy can assist in visible appearance into the triangle of art of evoked genii. My overall objective with lab Alchemy is to fully develop a practical approach where this Royal Art, becomes fully entwined with other branches of Hermeticism. It seems to me that lab Alchemy is artificially set apart from much of Hermeticism in the modern day.

In the 1980’s when I was in my early 20’s, there was a catchphrase ‘Magic is for all’. A worthy sentiment which in my 60th year I now take further; Hermetics is for all!
